
Job Description
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Oracle EBS. Only qualified candidates located near Plano, TX will be considered due to the position requiring an on‑site presence.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Required Skills, Experience & Abilities
- 4‑7 years of experience in database administration with EBS application and operations.
- Experience participating in or leading incident response and post‑mortem analysis processes.
- Previous exposure to hybrid environments integrating on‑premises data centers with public or private cloud platforms is desirable.
- 4‑7 years Oracle DBA experience with EBS application on installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting on production and development servers.
- Skilled in performance tuning, RMAN backup/recovery, Data Guard, and security.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues and support mission‑critical environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle E‑Business Suite (R12.x) environments.
- Perform installation, cloning, upgrades, and patching (ADOP, ADADMIN, CPU/PSU).
- Manage online patching and dual file systems (fs1/fs2).
- Monitor and troubleshoot Concurrent Managers, Workflow, Forms, Reports, OAF.
- Analyze and resolve application, WebLogic, and JVM issues.
- Responsible for Oracle database administration—including installation, testing, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c technologies.
- Assist with disaster recovery (DR) design, planning, and implementation.
- Configure, manage, and report on all Oracle database server environments, including standalone and clustered environments.
- Train and mentor new database administrators on Oracle products (11G, 12C, 18C, 19C) and troubleshooting techniques.
- Recommend improvements to performance or capacity of current environments.
- Provide expertise in disaster recovery, backup, and recovery support.
- Have good experience with Oracle database migration.
- Experience with Golden Gate is essential.
- Experience with RMAN backup/recovery integrated with CommVault/NetApps.
- Shell scripting and automation with any tool is required; experience in Perl or Shell scripting is an added advantage.
