Job title:  Reliability Engineering Manager


Location: Moreton, Wirral, Merseyside, CH46 1PR

Working Hours: Monday to Friday Days – 39hrs

Salary: Circa £55,000 per annum

Role Purpose

As the Reliability Engineering Manager, you will lead the day-based engineering team and coordinators. You will be accountable for the site reliability strategy, driving engineering reliability plans through people, process, and plant models to optimise site performance.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead as the engineering reliability budget owner: plan, organise, and deliver maintenance activities within agreed budget parameters.
  • Ensure labour plans maximise resource utilisation.
  • Work with procurement, operations, and suppliers to identify and support productivity and cost saving initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvements within maintenance programmes.
  • Manage critical spares, inventory control, and inbound/outbound processes to improve performance.
  • Ensure all site safety best practices are adhered to by the team and contractors.

About You – What You’ll Bring

  • Engineering degree or equivalent, or recognised engineer through the apprentice route with relevant expertise.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within food or FMCG environments.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and performance insights.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and control systems such as Rockwell, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens.
  • Solid understanding of equipment reliability techniques and their benefits.
