About the Role
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Capchase, you will be an integral part of a growing engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the architecture that supports the company’s fast-paced scaling efforts. The focus will be on improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of the systems, while ensuring smooth and efficient operations as Capchase continues to grow 50x. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely or from the office in Trier, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure & Scalability: Design and evolve systems architecture to support the 50x scaling of the company.
- Reliability & Performance: Define and maintain service level objectives (SLAs/SLOs/SLIs) and lead efforts in capacity planning and cost optimization.
- Monitoring & Observability: Implement tools for trend detection, anomaly monitoring, and system health visualization.
- CI/CD & Developer Velocity: Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate tasks, and increase efficiency in the engineering lifecycle.
- Incident Management & Disaster Recovery: Lead on-call rotations and incident response, ensuring swift resolution and thorough postmortems.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure security and compliance measures align with scalability goals and customer trust.
- Team & Culture Building: Contribute to defining the SRE function’s roadmap, hire, mentor, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Elixir, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing systems.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools, monitoring, and alerting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security compliance.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Experience with managing high-availability systems at scale.
- Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.
