About the Role

Dentsply Sirona is seeking a motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its team. The SRE will focus on ensuring system reliability, monitoring infrastructure, and responding to incidents. This hybrid position requires being in the Waltham, MA office at least once per week. The role provides an excellent opportunity for growth and learning in a high-performance, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system performance and assist in troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Support automation efforts to enhance system reliability and reduce manual operations.
  • Assist in deploying and managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Learn and apply SRE best practices, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth and efficient system operations.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Participate in incident response processes to ensure rapid resolution and recovery.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and basic scripting (Python, Bash).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Understanding of incident response processes and tools.
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of German is beneficial).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in configuring and managing infrastructure using cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with application performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Prior experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Understanding of SRE best practices and their application in large-scale systems.
