Role Overview: Site Reliability Engineer
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will:

Work alongside a collaborative SRE team to deploy IBM Maximo products on AWS.

Handle operational support for live environments, including upgrades, system maintenance, and troubleshooting—occasionally during scheduled weekend maintenance.

Interact regularly with Product Owners, Architects, Release Managers, and the SRE Manager.

Continuously look for ways to enhance systems by learning and applying the latest technologies and practices.
Education Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

Knowledge of SRE and DevOps methodologies

Experience running applications on AWS

Understanding of AWS security best practices
-
Strong grasp of AWS networking (e.g., VPCs, load balancers, CDNs)

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for large applications

Familiar with GitOps workflows
-
Experience with AWS Auto Scaling
-
Skilled in migrating and managing Kubernetes-based applications
-
Experience using tools like Ansible for automation
-
Familiarity with AWS monitoring tools
-
Analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills

Strong communication abilities, including direct customer interactions

Fluent in English
Preferred Skills

Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

Experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, AWS RDS)

Knowledge of AWS SES

Understanding of AWS storage options (S3, EBS, EFS)

Holding AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Admin)

Experience with IBM Maximo deployments
