Key Responsibilities:

Design and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure for Straumann’s digital platform.

Work with Azure components, tools, architecture, and platforms.
-
Administer and monitor the Azure environment.
-
Proficient in ARM templates.
-
Hands-on expertise in IAM, Azure AD, Kubernetes clusters, networking, and storage on Azure.

Deploy, configure, and manage Azure services like virtual machines, networks, and storage.
-
Monitor system performance, address alerts, and ensure availability and performance.
-
Apply and uphold security practices including access control and encryption.
-
Plan and test backup and disaster recovery strategies.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and outages.
-
Document infrastructure and operational procedures.

Stay current on Azure updates to recommend optimizations and cost efficiencies.
-
Provide after-hours support through an on-call rotation.
Key Skills:
-
Strong command of Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Resource Manager, VMs, Storage, Networking).

Skilled in scripting and automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
-
Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., ARM Templates, Terraform).

Understanding of Azure security and identity management practices.
-
Proficient with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Security Center, Log Analytics).

Knowledge of networking principles and Azure network services.
-
(Optional) Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

(Optional) Azure certifications (Administrator, Solutions Architect, etc.).
Optional Skills:

Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).

Understanding of hybrid cloud environments.

Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD.

Database management skills (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).

Knowledge of Azure FHIR and serverless computing with Azure Functions.

Basic knowledge of Azure Data Factory.

Involvement in process design and automation.

Collaboration with DevOps and development teams on deployment automation.

Understanding of B2B commerce platforms and processes including online services, order-to-cash, billing, and related systems.
